I had a blast playing the game. It has such good level design. And the feel is real. Love the amount of detail with the grass and rocks that you need to stand on top of. Played super smooth and very addicting and challenging. Very polished. πŸ˜„

this game is perfect, the art style, the game play, enemies can get a bit repetitive but considering this was done in a week or less... amazing. only thing im missing, a pause menu with volume controls, but other then that, perfect

Woooaoh dude this is great! I love the art and sound design. How the grass against the wall makes sound when you shoot it, and the crazy environment variety while still using a retro color palette, absolutely amazing. I think there's a great game in here! I think the player control could use a little work though. The character feels a little too heavy. I think the gravity needs to be reduced slightly and some coyote frames given to jumping and a bit more acceleration when the character first starts moving. That's the major piece of constructive criticism that stood out to me. But overall, love it!

A great game IMO. I'd love to see this expanded upon and fleshed out to be a bigger game. As fun as it was, I think the laser gun might be a biiiit too over powered haha. Just push and hold and the boss turns into mincemeat rather easy.

I've always told myself if any of my games get enough traction I'd make a full version of it. So far this is my most popular so who knows, if it blows up enough this might be the game I've been waiting for.

I think the game is great, nice graphics good fx and music,  I think is well designed, the only problem is that if you shoot to an enemy that's very close to you, you can't hit it and the enemies hitboxes are a little bit big i think if you make them a little bit smaller it won't feel like sometimes they didn't hit you but they dealed damage anyway

I think you're totally right. I used the auto collision box for the enemy sprites. I really should've gone in there and made them a bit smaller. It's tricky tho cuz if they're too small you'll feel like your shot should've hit them and it misses so it's a tricky thing to balance, takes time.

I don't use Godot so I don't know if you can but in Unity you can have objects in you main object(Enemy) that have 2 different colliders one for the bullets and another one for the player. Anyway the game feels very good so don't make a big problem of it, it's just a possible future feature

I actually use construct 3, but yeah double colliders, that's a good idea. I'll look into that for the next project. Thanks man!

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm playing lots of games and I thought your game was the one I played made with Godot

Awesome visuals and music, on top of a very enjoyable game! Took me couple tries to defeat the boss :D That no big deal, but it would be cool if there was an option to use arrows for moving too.

Unless other weapons have aimed shots, there is no reason to include the mouse. I would love to give this a shot further, but for us trackpad folks a keyboard-only option would be great.

No worries, I just updated the game. You can now use the J key on your keyboard to shoot as well as left click. Let me know how that feels. Thanks for the feedback! :D
